The blade stabs right into the plate on Kyo's foot, cracking the plate there.

He hops up into the air, sweeping his own blades down into the ground, each about 5 feet long in an X shape below him, trying to hit Kansas below the ground.

Kansas immediately sinks deeper after stabbing Kyo.

Feeling his blade hit nothing Kyo growls and drops his blades, and slams his hands into the ground, and the ground for a 20 foot diameter hole 40 feet deep explodes and crumbles into dust.

Kansas panicks, having forgotten that Kyo was also a Dustbringer. He quickly Lashes himself toward Kyo, Shardblade forming as a long spear before him.

Kyo lashes himself backwards, grabbing a handful of rubble in each hand and lashing tiny bits at Kansas to Explode upon hitting him, loud and bright. When he ran out, he summoned a blade as a glaive.

Kyo deflected the hit to the side with his glaive, and swept a strike around to hit Kansas in the back as he flew by, shifting the head to a hammer instead of a blade.

Kansas, moving quickly by, took the hit only glancingly. He kept going a few meters, then stopped and whirled around to face Kyo, shifting to his Shardkatana.
