Coder opens the door, and walks into The Shard, a local bar rumored for it's strange qualities. Most don't go in, and those who do, rarely come out.

He stands up in front of the crowd, as the new owner of The Shard. "Hello, everyone. My name is Coder, and I am the new owner of this bar. This will take some explaining to do, as you all don't exactly know what's happening here. But don't worry, I will explain it all.

"You see, to enter this RP, make an intro post, such as 'Coder walked into The Shard, ready for a good time'. The basic components in an intro post are your nickname, like Coder, and your entrance. Your entrance can be as simple as 'Coder walked in' or as complex as this one. However, once you are in, you're in. You can chat with the others who are here, go on walks through the big city outside. Spacial boundaries? What are those? Someone could be on the other side of town, and you can just say 'I walk over to them' and now you're there! When people are inactive in here for too long, they fall asleep. This is a very free RP, and its only purpose is, as the title says, General Discussion. And of course, it is very meta.

"Now, you might be wondering why I bought this wonderful bar. Well, the mods have been talking about how often we RP when we aren't in RP forums (especially in General Discussion, as I am writing this, @Kansas Stormcursed and @Honors ghost are fighting each other in Gay Disasters) and I decided to make a General Discussion specifically for RP! (Mods, if this belongs in forum games, or in General Discussion, please move it for me, but i think it's fine here). So, party, and have fun!"

Coder then walks over to the door, unlocks it, walks through, and cuts the ribbon outside. "Welcome, Sharders. To this new Institution!"

Wrath walks into the bar, very sleepy. “I’m here! I think!”

“…yes, we are here.” (Of)

Of adjusted his glasses. “Actually, these tenses,” he took them off, wiping them carefully with a cloth neatly stored in a pocket within his jacket, “are not exactly contradictory. Perhaps the speaker had done the first action in the past, but then - speaking at the time of the action - does the second action in the present. Then implies some passing of time.”

[Akimikoisthecutest]

Cristal, who universally goes by her nickname Akimiko, nervously pushes open the heavy door to The Shard. The bar’s interior is a dizzying assault on the senses, a cacophony of strange accents and shifting realities. She instinctively adjusts her thick-rimmed glasses, which magnify her wide, anxious eyes as she takes in the scene.

She’s short—barely five feet tall—and tries to make herself smaller, a habit from years of feeling overlooked. Her gaze falls on Coder, who has just entered and is standing near the door. Akimiko hovers near the entrance for a moment, clutching a slightly battered copy of The Way of Kings to her chest like a shield.

Taking a deep, shaky breath, she approaches Coder, her voice barely a whisper over the bar's din. "Uh... hi," she mumbles, adjusting her glasses again. "The rumors... they're true, aren't they? About this place?" She glances around nervously, clearly intimidated but also intensely curious, her nerdy excitement warring with her natural shyness. "I'm A-akimiko I'm just here to right about this place for the paper."

Hmmmm. No. He doesn't. 

Ash...

Wait. 

Ash is sitting in a corner-

No he isn't. 

Gosh he's not doing this so well. 

He's there. He's certain of that. Where, he asks himself? Good question. He figures he's probably on the edge. Somewhere. Likely towards the middle. And he is looking... 

For... 

A... 

That was not meant to be a buildup, he interjects into the middle of this. 

No, his... 

Cat? Sure, cat. Why not, he figures? Ash then proceeds to apologize in advance to everybody who had to read this. Or may read whatever he does in the future. He just kind of wanted to try this out to see what would happen. 

It happened. 

So, he thinks. Ash. Sitting in a corner--no, he said he wasn't--ah screw this. Good enough, right? I'm sure that everyone will get it, he thinks to himself in an interesting tone of voice. Yes. He should stop rambling to himself and finish now. And-

Frick, I hate having two different keyboards with the keys in different spots, he thinks. 

Got it! (that was to the typo. He knows he did not make that clear whatsoever, but whatever. And now he's getting distracted again.) (end parentheses) He thinks sorry one last time. Well, probably not, but for now, yes.

Also--and he wants this to be in the same thing as above. Thing is a colloquial word, he thinks to himself. period space-- 

...Also there should be (and here is where he wants to use it (ooh that didn't work but it's still neat))--Ash helpfully intejects himself here, telling the others that was not coherent ignore and to ignore it. He then finishes his rather brilliant epiphany, which he--no don't say that--Shut up!--should be a way in writing to put subtext literally behind or over other text, and not after it. And it was at this point that Kyo drank raw milk and Ash got distracted by that. But only for a few seconds. Mmmmh, gramatical error, he thinks somewhat belatedly, realizing he was supposed to do so a minute ago. 

Right. Ash goes looking for his cat. I'm out of creativity for the day, he thinks. Then he consistifies everything while pondering why that isn't a word, because OCD.

"As I said above, I am all in favor of varieties of characters, but it is generally reccmended to keep it more of a version of you as an RP character. And in general," Coder then turns to @Sherma Main, "Multiple characters are frowned upon, but because of how long you have spent building it up, I'll let it slide for now."
