So in the long run if you were in, say, a very serious argument on the pronunciation of a debated word, speaking out “pee-kahn” gives a higher likelihood to stutter and therefore slow down the overall pace of your point

I would argue that two long sounds appearing consecutively in an otherwise short word would make one less likely to stutter than a short-long, requiring more enunciation.
