Is the Yumi and Nightmare painter a glimpse in possibilities of identity manipulation?

Would be just cool if we see someone in future see manipulate the identity of others and it changes their personality or body in some way.
Make someone believe they are chicken like during a hypnotism or something.
Or somebody swap bodies from one to another.

From what we saw Hoid do at the end of WaT:

Spoiler

regrow his body from a few cells millions of miles away

I think that the idea of moving identity from one body to another to swap them isn't far fetched at all, especially if you use Hemalurgy.

I think manipulation of Identity could lead to some "minor" shape-shifting, but I don't think it allows for drastic anatomical changes. Maybe something like the Returned or Singers can do.

Krios (paraphrased)

If you have a form of manipulating your Identity and a form of healing, are you able to shapeshift or even evolve your body like growing wings?

Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased)

You'd have to do some real work on your Spiritweb to make that work. It'd take more work than you're implying, but the [singers] for instance are doing this. It'll take a little more work, it's not just blanking your Identity. Hemalurgy would make it very easy, but also very evil. But what you want to achieve is possible.

Hoid is a Dawnshard Sliver (or whatever term Brandon settles on). And a Radiant. And an allomancer. And has Breath. He's kind of a special case.

In any case, Identity between Hoid's own body (those cells) and, well, his own body would not be surprising and has nothing to do with changing Identity.

Very true on both counts. To be more clear, I meant the fact that Hoid's identity remained intact for that whole ordeal, and could just go to a new body.
