Her gaze fell down to the alley wall near where it touched the ground. “I spent money. Anyone could do that."

You hadn't noticed until now, but there was a fog that set in seemingly out of nowhere, and everywhere you could see became dark shadows.

She tensed and made sure her face wasn’t visible. The scar on the corner of her mouth would give her away if a patron of that bar came by.
