"I did, I've been waiting here for whoever was going to be meeting us here."

Kole notices a letter wedged near the door.

"I just need some trust."

"So you just walked in on your own? Then what was the point of the code phrase?" He grabbed the letter as he talked, then looked back to see her reply as he opened it.

"A way to contact you in the future. Help with something, making a real difference."

“I don’t have contact information. You tell me in person. And since I’m leaving this sector as soon as I leave this bar, that means you track me down.”

"I don't know. Maybe so that nobody random could walk up on us."

The letter reads, "I presume you are all here. I would suggest getting to know each other." -Ikanlian Reed

Kole read it out loud, seeing no reason to keep it to himself.

Cora frowned. She glanced at the other two people. This was very different.

"So none of us actually know what we're doing here? Just that someone told us to show up?"

"Alright. You'll receive another letter. When we contact you next."

"That seems about right."

There are two other people, Cora (@InfiniteInsanity), and another woman, neither of whom you recognize.

"I thought so. Follow me." They lead you down the hallway.

Weaver did so, looking around cautiously as they strolled out of the main room. But no one paid them any attention as they made their exit. As they began to walk the new dark passageway, Weaver couldn't help but notice that this was the same way the other masked man had gone.

They were nearing the end of the hallway when he realized he had left behind his drink.

She grumbled to herself, pulled the hood over her head, and left the bar. The drink she hadn’t bought was left untouched.

This time. Kole caught part of what she said, and guessed the rest. "Yeah, guess so."

They opened the door into the same room, and inside sat the same masked man from earlier, along with another, quite burly man.

Well, that went better than expected. Oswald though

Like she’d said, she left the sector. She never stayed in one for long. And she never went to sector 19.

You can't, try as you might, forget some of their words. "You care enough to try." As you walk down the street, you hear a few hushed conversations; something big has happened in this sector recently, and you can tell.

She pulled the hood more over her head. She had a bottle in her bag. She could forget. She could.

Good. It was better that way.

In the next sector, she found 12 inns she refused to utilize before she found one that was clean. She checked out a room and downed half the bottle before stopping to breathe. That.. that should let her forget what he said…

…right?

Alas, alcohol is a fickle thing. You drown out the world around you, but not what is already in your head.

She groaned and collapsed on the bed, trying to think of something else. Anything else.

You recall the hushed conversations as you walked, and you start to think about what could have happened

You caught small bits, no names, no goals, no motives.
