Hello! I'm The Rambling Rook. You may find me elsewhere by the same name, therookandtherokh, That Rook, etc. 

I haven't been in this fandom that long. About a year and a half now.  I enjoy reading along with podcasts to force myself to take the time to properly analyze what I read instead of letting myself devour the content. The sheer amount of post its on my wall can attest to that. 

So far, I've read:

-The stormlight archive: books 1 to 4 (including edgedancer and dawnshard)

-Warbreaker

-Yumi and the nightmare painter

-The emperor's soul

-Shadows for silence in the forest of hell

-Mistborn era 1: 1 and 2 .

I know it doesn't seem very consistent (laughs), but I can explain!

I started reading WOK with a podcast I was listening to (the Duke and the duchess). They started with it, so I did as well. And so I read Warbreaker afterwards (like they did). I read the final empire after oathbringer. After ROW, I realized I should read all of Mistborn before WAT.. so I took up Mistborn again. Along the way, I read some things from the Arcanum and Yumi. I'm now following a different podcast (because they also started with WOK, Following Nohadon).

I'm not really one to pick favorites. Generally, I enjoy when an ability is used for something that might not be the obvious/ intended purpose. Which is partly why I'm really excited to see how technology continues to evolve alongside the Metallic Arts.

 I did enjoy the Percy Jackson series when I was younger. The name of the wind by Rothfuss was especially beloved for a while, but it all kinda soured with the 2nd book. The gentleman bastards series by Scott Lynch was great... If I really had to pick a book I wouldn't change a single comma from, it would be The star rover by Jack London.
