coolsnow7 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Something I noticed upon re-read is that when Sigzil’s armor starts peaking out into the physical realm, he refers to two sets from each set of oaths. Unless he actually bonded with a third spren, this must be referring to his Windrunner oaths with Vienta. But as far as I can tell, he had not achieved the Fourth Ideal with her. So what gives?

Radiants begin drawing platespren to them at least during the Third oath (possibly before then) and only reach a critical mass and enough Connection to form them into Shardplate at the Fourth Oath - but the platespren are following the Radiant long before then (also seen later in oathbringer, when Kaladin's Windspren manifest in Shadesmar while they are travelling on Notum's vessel). WaT Spoilers Hide contents Sigzil's Windspren are noted in the Epilogue to be following the Iriali Caravan that Sigzil left with when he met Aux. Hope that helps 5
