Alright then, option B

"Ah, I know!" They suddenly feel a crushing sense of despair.

When you try to do this, you feel a resistance by the mind. As if it doesn't accept the despair. "Nice try?"

The resistance is easily overcome. He's imprinting onto their brain how it feels to his brain, not relying on their concept of the sensation.

A coffin appears in front of them.

The boy steps back out of the door, looking refreshed.

"What's going on?"

Lazar turns to him, looking bored but alert.

"Mr. Lizard is still needlessly antagonising people."

He pauses, looking distracted.

Why am I still here? I'm squandering what little time I have. What can I gain from talking to these guys?

They haven't been here before, Lazar reminds himself. They don't know. Maybe I could use them.

"Ok. Let me guess. Kjerled's body is gonna be in there?"

"But, like... you're trying to scare me right? And the only fear (irrational though it is!) that I have is Kjerled dying. So, like, theoretically, Kjerled should be in there or something.  Right?"

I tried that once. Cep is always straightforward when he should be confused and confused when he should be annoyed.

Sadly enough for me, i guess

"First of all, it's a she. Second of all, YOU'RE controlling this right? So YOU should know!"

"I'm not really controlling this, just guiding it. I don't have much control here."

Its good

You could sense Bob's confusion. "So like... if we're done questioning coffins, are we done yet or do I have more coffin-induced suffering to do?"

"We're almost done. One question. Why do you try so hard to be normal?"

"Great," the boy says sarcastically.

He looks over at the dragonborn, speaking to a guy who he did not know the name of.

The boy creates a rope made of dark energy and flings it at the dragonborn's legs, causing it to topple over, the rope wrapped around his legs. He did this just to annoy him.

He grinned the unnaturally wide grin once more.

Well dang.

The boy looks again and realizes that there is actually no dragonborn there, and he was seeing things. A downside of having lived countless millennia.
