Lexolotl Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 With Goals being an important part of a character's power development, I'm curious if there'd be particular value in a 3-4 session adventure for the "short games", rather than just one shots. Characters would be able to make and complete a goal for the adventure, get an appropriate power spike, then take on the BBEG or whatever climax you've got planned. Any thoughts or experience with this? I can't say in two decades of ttrpgs, I've ever had a group that planned something of that size. It's always either one shot, or campaign lol. 1

I've done games like that before. Mostly at like, dnd club. They're basically one shots but a bit largerÂ
Lexolotl Posted August 8, 2025 Author Posted August 8, 2025 Interesting. Homebrew is not high priority right now for me, but I'm curious to play with it and see if there's something special about it to make it more than "big one shot". Three act story format or something like that.
