This will be the thread for Swamp WItch. If you'd like any changes, please PM me.

@Spark of Hope @Kaladin Stormcursed @CoderDrag0n8
Tertia, Elya, Evitar, and Zael arrive at the small town of Hochweise in Waldestadt. Or well, it used to be a town. In place of the typical brick or wood, the houses are made of gingerbread and covered in frosting and gumdrops. Chocolate bricks that are soft under the midday sun replace cobbles beneath your feet. You lift your foot up, and chocolate is stuck to it. You suspect that this will stick
"This is some bizarre magic," Zeal mutters, "Work of the witch, no doubt."

A rather fat man runs up to you, out of breath. 'Are you the Adventurers the guild sent? The attacks have gotten worse."

Elya looks bewildered by the state of the town. "Uh. Yeah, that we are," she absently replies to the man.

"Thank the divines!" He claps his hands together "We have no idea why she suddenly started attacking us. It all started a week ago, when some goblin sightings began. Then we woke up to this.... candy. And then a night later, she came in person and stole my dear children! Oh. And a couple other's..."

Evitar keeps stealing glances at all the candy.

"Rather so. I fear. Once you start eating it, it's very hard to stop." he takes what looks like a chunk of gingerbread and takes a bite.

"The Swamp, where she has a dark fortress staffed by the goblins"

"The Swamp, where she has a dark fortress staffed by the goblins"

"Ah" He says, and then thinks, Isn't that just called obesity?

And then he (Is Zael against eldritch magic?) takes out his staff, and has a cloaking spell on it that makes it look like a normal Arcane Magic Staff, and prays to his god for Legend Lore.

Elya glares at Evitar ( @CoderDrag0n8 ). "Don't even think about eating it." She turns to the man. "And in which direction might we find said swamp fortress?"

"Ok, Ok, Ok, I was just wondering." He pauses, then mumbles, "For a friend."

Zael looks over, and doesn't care. Your God doesn't respond to your prayer, vague as it is.

He raises an arm towards the swamp, south of the town. "Just keep going that way!" he burbles.

No, like the spell. Not just 'asking my god for information'. Like, the actual spell. It would suit my Narative Sacred Magic.

*Puts on DND nerd hat.* That isn't remotely what legend lore actually does. You name something, and you get a summary of the lore about it. If it's of legendary importance. Did you look at the text of it, or just watch that short?

As you all walk south, the ground starts to become muddier and muddier, the water rising until it goes up your ankles. It will only get higher from here.
"Ew." Zael complains

As you continue walking, the water continues to rise, slowing you to a crawl. It's up to your thighs now. You can't see through the murky water very well.
