Treamayne Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 (edited) Might as well start this early. Listing favorite quotes from SP5: Ch 7: Quote Really, he should have known better than to punch a senator. Important people had underlings you punched on their behalf, and he should have found one of those. Ch 41: Quote What a curious man. It was like…he knew the rules of ordinary conversation, but chose to live outside them, like a verbal conscientious objector. Edited July 3, 2025 by Treamayne Additions 3

Elegy he/him Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 (edited) I'd have to think about a definitive favorite, but I know what's my least favorite sentence in the book: Quote But though there was not a lot of space between Dusk and the monster as it crashed into the unsea, there was a great deal of space between almost eaten and eaten. (Ch. 59) I'm not usually bothered by Brandon's prose that much but that sentence is so outrageous, it makes my head spin. One simple one that I really liked was ... "We have passed the era of gods", from Chrysalis (Ch. 46). Not really original or overly clever, but in the context of the space age, it felt really evocative, like a tagline for that whole era of the Cosmere. Edited August 14, 2025 by Elegy 1
