This may or may not be the best forum for this (I debated where to put it) but thought I might as well ask here. As far as we know, what are the next few Cosmere projects that Brandon is going to be working on, just to get straight in my head what we should expect and roughly when? I know Isles of the Emberdark is going to be the immediate next one (per Amazon, it looks like the ebook will release this November, and then the physical edition in February) and my understanding had been that next after that will be the revised prose White Sand, and then the Ghostbloods trilogy and Elantris 2&3 alternating. Is this understanding accurate, and is it still the immediate plan as far as we know? Thank you!

Yes, this is the most accurate information we have. According to the State of the Sanderson (and my own faulty memory):

2025 - Isles of the Emberdark for backers, 2026 for a public release

2026 - Potentially Isaac Steward's Mistborn book, currently titled "Book of Nails," and affectionately called "Boatload of Mummies."

2027 - Horneater novella (Stormlight 4.5, about Rock) and potentially White Sand Prose if Brandon can fit it in

2028 - Mistborn 8

2029 - Elantris 2, Mistborn 9

2030 - Elantris 3, Mistborn 10

2031 - Stormlight 6

Other worked-upon Cosmere Projects:

Dan Wells' Cosmere series. We don't know anything other than its in pre-production and he's mentioned how nice it is to have artists in-house for concept art. Consdering how long the Dark One novelization has taken, how the Story Deck stuff took about two years, and how many other irons in the fire Dan and Brandon have, I'm personally thinking this will be a trilogy and will release around the same time as Mistborn 8, so 2028-2030.

Unlisted but desired and heavily-talked-about projects:

The Night Brigade - A novel about a group set on Threnody

Silence Divine - A novel(la) about the planet Ashyn/Alaswha in the Roshar System

The Grand Apparatus - We know literally nothing but the name

Various Aether projects

YA Kite-based novel

A Silverlight Novella

Mistborn Secret History 2

Random Hopes and Predictions:

At least a few more Secret Novels (I think the next time we'll see a massive group of them will be in 2029/2030)

More Story Deck short stories and novellas (I think we'll have some for Dragonsteel Nexus 2028 for Mistborn 8, and for Dragonsteel 2031 for Stormlight 6)

You know, Isles of the Emberdark will be released for Backers on July 1st, and Pre-orders through dragonsteel sometime in July (so exited!).I don't know where White Sand fits into any of this, but the Ghostbloods trilogy is in the works right now.

Isles is way ahead of schedule and will be released in July.

Great! Thank you!

Of course! I get all my information through Brandon's Youtube Channel and his Weekly Updates that he posts there. He submits them every tuesday.

And after all, you can tell a Sharder when a cosmere book will come out, or you can teach a shard too look at brandon's youtube channel and get their information every week!
