Normal space-time curvature, sure. But at least according to the wiki page [Alcubierre drive], it's possible.* It requires negative mass, or some other way of expanding spacetime, but that's within the realm of Investiture shenanigans. The metallic arts could maybe do it.

*The drive has so many issues that would make it awful for humans: radiation, inability to stop/control the ship, causality, time dilation, insane heat in the ship itself, etc. Thankfully, though, none of that matters, as nothing as sensitive as humans is coming along. It also violates causality, and theoretically should make another black hole, but extra energy can go to the spiritual realm and disperse.

So... I'm going to say that raw Investiture cannot make this go too fast. 200% lightspeed from a different frame of reference, maybe, I feel is the limit. But how exactly would the time dilation of this work? I'm trying to think... would the raw Investiture even have time to register you 'seek' command?

shhh. Fine.... I guess the cognitive investiture opens a perp when it reachse a subastral/ investiture and streams through like @Ashkaloda suggested.

Yes. Because everything in the spiritual realm is instant.

So it'll take days, while most of the actual star's mass travelling the physical realm close to light speed will take years. Unless, all the mass is going through CR, then they're be a giant wall of a million degree death scouring the entire Cognitive Realm...

@.....! You're in danger!

He can find Dominion's perpendicularity.

It's not far from where he is.

has it... formed yet?

@ChickenBonanza has your perp formed yet?

Yeah you can 100% block the flaming wall of death. tbh it's a side effect that Alph is doing cause it's pretty.

Spoiler

You're not escaping the seeping in investiture though.

Singers will be hearing the Rhythm of Art.

@ChickenBonanza is on Ashyn though with humans. Reason abandoned Roshar some time ago.

Which world do we want to nearest to Taldain?

Well, if it is the exapnse of the broken sky, then Roshar and possibly Scadrial and Sel a bit furthur away. Nalthis will be on the other side of Roshar, and Threnody somewhere around Scadrial.

Also we got to sort out where Invention/Cultivation's system is.

Well we have to plot the other planets too.

Roshar first, unless otherwise specified?

Welp, all my plans are out the window. I'll adjust.

@KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren, can we get an official figure for how fast the Investiture travels?

Mercy is currently talking to them, and I don't think it would take much effort at all to shield a single person. They should be fine, so long as they don't do anything stupid.

@Argenti, what is up with the Taldain system? I got something about the realms merging, but I couldn't tell quite what's going on.

Alor is intentionally far away, maybe in the outer section of the Cosmere. I’m not sure in which direction - I think for the time being it should be hit late, and we can figure out which actual direction it is in later.

I'm going to say... maybe 300 m/s? Slower than sound, but it's going through Shadesmar so it'll only take days. I'm going to say that the Rosharan System will be hit in 3 days.

Honestly, It might be easier to just use stellaris to populate the random systems..

What's stellaris?

Anyway, I don't want most of these systems inhabited. Almost all life, except for maybe Yolish life, did not evolve naturally and was created either by Adonalsium or a Shard. If people really want to, we can Spec. Bio an alien ecosystem, but that would take time, as for it to be accurate we'd have to do it's history before the modern day too.

Do you know HOI4? That. But in space.

Spoiler

You're gonna have to spec bio at least 5 worlds soon

As long as you get the number of objects in the system right, you can totally change worlds
