oh the vessel is basically already the entire shard. He just has an extra set of plans that align with the shard's intent, but his personality is almost completely Cultivation by now.

Why? I was under the impression that the majority of the sun's Investiture is in the Physical, causing the supernova. And unless Viruosity is purposefully moving the Investiture, there should be no reason for the sun's spiritweb to suddenly eject the Investiture it does have in the SR outwards.

So, technically, a supernova implodes inward first, creating something akin to a perpendicularity. Normal, non-sentient matter can't pass through a perp, but Virtuosity's investiture is providing the intent (It has a command), so the star stuff can pass through it. This obviously has some interesting results on all three realms and creates distortions in spacetime, an invested "wave" that carries matter and radiation along with it.  Imagine an expanding bendalloy bubble/ WAT

So you're saying Virtuosity is purposefully sending the star's matter to the SR (it def has enough Investiture to make a perpedicularity there), shooting it across Connections to other places, then bringing it back to the PR for the purpose of not giving the Shards the time to prepare after the supernova?

Yesn't. It's going across all the realms- so the spiritual realm investiture will arrive first (I doubt the star matter matters in the spiritual).

First of all, spacetime curvature cannot get you FTL. It can get you at most a tiny, tiny fraction below lightspeed, so like 99.99999999%. Still slower than light.

*The drive has so many issues that would make it awful for humans: radiation, inability to stop/control the ship, causality, time dilation, insane heat in the ship itself, etc. Thankfully, though, none of that matters, as nothing as sensitive as humans is coming along. It also violates causality, and theoretically should make another black hole, but extra energy can go to the spiritual realm and disperse.
