. . . huh.

By this point, however, they'd already taken him to the emergency shelter for plot convenience.

There were a bunch of people building with Lego.

There were no guards.

It was just him and everyone else's characters, locked in a room with various foodstuffs and supplies.

And another Lego piece.

In fact, they all contained Lego pieces save one.

The last contained the most delicious piece of chocolate to ever exist.

I EAT THE CHOCLATE

and the legos

my dragon mouth is strong enough

Nico looks at the thin walls between himself and the looming void and considers ripping a hole through it to escape these people.

The normal, overhead lights slowly flickered to life.

It was completely silent.

Nico pulls out his gun, slowly. It's a real miracle they never searched him.

Guards came, collected them all, and dumped them in the same emergency shelter as the sirens continued blaring.

It was nice enough. Some tables and food storage.

There was also a vending machine. Inside that vending machine was a very expensive-looking box. Maybe it had something important inside.

The little taynix fluted sadly. Goomslug didn't like being confined.

Not a single soul stood outside the door. The station's public spaces, once filled with bustling crowds, now stood abandoned. Every step that landed on the metallic floor echoed off the station's cavernous corridors. It felt . . . eerie. As if everyone had fled in a hurry and left them behind.
