She wasn't the only one who'd tried to go there. Guards turned them away.

He looks at the bars, and since he never was searched, he pulls out his laser saw from his pocket. Rather odd that they never searched him. Foolish. Really. He never even made it through security.

In all fairness, he wasn't a wanted criminal. He just had to pay off his debts before he could legally travel anywhere.

At worst, this was only a minor violation of the law.
