Greetings all,

I wrote some fanfiction based on the Kite Magic cosmere world brandon has talked about. Very new to writing, interracting with fandom, and fanfiction. Any critique, style, cannon, or otherwise.

I like it! If I were you, I'd try to switch up my sentence structure a bit, but you're good for a novice writer.

I like the magic system, the part about giving it an actual name seems interesting, cognitive identity, and all that. I'm a bit confused why “Citarex," though. Is that a name? Typically, cosmere magics aren't powered by nonsense words (Maybe it's whimsy, who knows), selish magic is maps, and awakening needs words to shape intent. Overall, really great first story!

I've always been super curious about the kite magic system. Glad someone is finally giving it a shot! Can't wait to see where the story goes.

Thanks for the comment! I can see where you are coming from with the sentence structure, it seems to be something I lose sight of when doing revisions. When it comes to "Citarex", it is just a word I made up based on some Latin word I liked the sound of. I agree the cosmere doesn't have a lot of nonsense words like that, maybe that's my own style coming through. Thank you for the praise!
