Kansas Stormcursed he/him Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Title: something to do with colors idk. I'm consciously having to steer away from the rhythm of Muted Colors (Benjamin Steer) You see the black and red and my God I can see them too But how do I explain that there are more I see in you I wish that I could trade my sight for yours and yours for mine To show you all the colors that go dancing in my mind Blue lines that dance between everyone I have ever known And lead from them onward to more that I can never know The green that dances in the eyes of children when they're seen And gold within the eyes of parents proud of who they'll be The purple on the air when some mischief is afoot Idk I'll keep working on it. I gotta figure out a way to alter the known/know lines, 'cause I don't like the rhyming with the same word 2

Ripheus23 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Are you from Kansas? I mean if there's a huge narrative implied in the background it would be ironic and cool at once that another epic saga has direct or indirect Kansan themes (Oz, Dean/Sam Winchester, Superman). 2

Kansas Stormcursed he/him Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 Work in progress: this is possibly the chorus, maybe not. Regardless, it's the opening of the song Spoiler You only see the black and red and God I know the sight The blood and shade of movie screens cannot compare to life Two hues of color known to walk along the darker side And they're both strong enough to loom and block out all the light But grab the hooded cloak in hand and rend it all to shreds And put your eye up to the parts of fabric where it rends Beyond the muting influence of failures and regrets A million shades of color dance the countless paths each wends 5
