Cye made sure they both got on alright before getting on himself. He sat across the aisle from them.

...they couldn't do that - the trains run to the town square only - there was another train that they could take there to get to Intellect.

Also travelling on the train was a woman - fancy clothing. Many seemed to be avoiding her, though. She wore a mask similar to Tel's.
