Her hair is somewhere between blonde and brunette, curly and just past her shoulders. Her eyes are hazel with green flecks. “What about you?”

"I like... Maroon." He gestures to his suit. "Like crushed berries and red wine."

"I think Navy would look good on you. It would bring out the gold in your eyes."

She smiled a bit. “Why did you want to be a suitor?” she asked, genuinely curious.

"Honestly? I needed to get out of my house. Ever since my uncle had his breakdown, my Moms have been acting strange. There's this like... cloud of sadness over the whole place. I'm not sure why, it's not like they argue or cry all the time, but something is just... wrong?" He shakes his head and smiles "My life needed to be mixed up, you know?"

"My uncle's a Clairvoyant- a strong one at that. Until his visions got bad. Real bad. He lost the line between vision and reality, and totally lost his mind." Rex stares at the floor "He was really nice too. He encouraged me to come here, for some reason, must have been in a vision. I was planing on it anyway." He sighs, sadly.

“I’m sorry to hear that. Do you know why he encouraged you to come?”

". . . The actual king?"

He nodded. “Th’ only one who didn’ turn against ‘im.”

"Couldn't tell you. There might not have been a reason. Most of his prophecies aren't important; he just sees things happen and feels compelled to make them come true."

“I see.” She glanced at a clock. The ten minutes were nearly up. “Anything else?”

Jac led the kid down to the lecture hall. It was a large room towards the center of the university.

upon entering, a kindly looking old man with a short beard greeted them. “Ah, Jac,” the man said. “Glad that you could make it.”
