Changing hidden posts

Sooo… this is kind of embarrassing but I accidentally hid a post before posting. I don’t know what hiding it actually does, but now I can’t edit it. Is there a way to unhide it, or do I just have to settle for this?

You can't unhide your own posts, since only mods have that power, but either I can unhide it for you or you can just make a new post.

For some context as to what "hiding" is: it's a non-permanent deletion. This way, there is a record of it, which may be useful for a variety of reasons (not the least of which is restoring things). So, we grant regular members the ability to hide because, hey, mistakes happen and sometimes that's what you want to do. But a permanent deletion of posts is reserved for moderators, and even then we rarely use it.
