Popular Post Rage_Fortress he/him Posted January 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 30, 2025 I posted this on Facebook like 2 days after I finished WaT but it got lost over time so I thought I would repost it here. I know I most likely don't have to say there are full book spoilers but just in case, there definitely are. This covers a plot structure of the book in its entirety. Something I haven't seen talked about yet is how each of the main conflicts in the novel correspond to the five ways an outnumbered force can prevail in Towers. 1. Dalinar uses The Sunmaker's Gambit pulling in another army. 2. Sigzil uses the terrain to manuver the enemy into favorable positions and ultimately wins by giving the land back to the Singers 3. Taravangian uses superior leadership convincing Queen Fen to renounce the coalition pact and join his side. 4. Adolin uses random chance pulling his armor spren without a bond and creating The Unoathed 5. Kaladin uses the human spirit to stand up in the face of unyeilding despair and swear the 5th ideal. Just thought this was pretty neat. 22
OoklaApologist She/her Posted January 30, 2025 Posted January 30, 2025 That's... really neat. I didn't notice this before.
Dalluminum he/him Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 I noticed some of these, thanks for pointing out the rest! I really liked the way Towers was used I the story in general, this is yet another way it's cool.
