A shield of ice extended from Intellect, pushing back the flames. Focusing, intellect did… something… to the ice, and it seemed to be… more. More dangerous, perhaps.

Intellect looked to Ison, gesturing him over and giving him a blade. “This should protect you. I’ve added modifications.“

After this, though, he turned back to the shield and fought to maintain it as the attackers approached.

Ison swung, freezing a whole row. He took a blow to the shoulder, and his armor there shattered. He stood there, gaping at it. "My armor doesn't break..." he said weakly. He puked out his original sword, and began attacking with renewed vigor, overcome by Rage for a few moments, before retaking control.

The soldiers were frozen, but fire burst from them just as quickly.

The influence of Rage was real, but it didn’t seem to be coming from Rage.

Intellect was sending help, columns of ice emerging from the shield he had up

He swings again, frost flashing foward.

If I lose myself to Rage, I might never return. However, it might be my only hope. Noticing that it didn't come from Rage, he embraced it, and fought better than he had in this world.
