Slayd_07 Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 The Dawnshards meeting and trying to fuse in W&T was extremely unexpected, to say the least. Nothing we knew about the Dawnshards indicated that they would behave like that upon meeting - they predate the Shattering, so it can't be related to Adonalsium, and they've always seemed like distinct objects, not parts of a greater whole. What are your theories on why they're trying to pull together, and what it might result in if they were allowed to?

DawnSHARDS, they're a broken part of a whole. They were used in conjunction, as a whole, at least twice. Once to create the cosmere, once to splinter Ado. And why would they not be related to Ado? Ado predates the shattering; he made the dawnshards to make the universe. Now, what would have happened when they fused? Rysn would have died, i'm sure. I'm picturing those simulations of two planets smashing into each other, making a mess, and probably having a big boom, either physically or spiritually. It would have alerted T-Ret to the dawnshard's presence, and Ado only knows what he'd do. 2

Do we know that when they were used they were used as a whole, not as four individual Commands? I guess the assumption I was making was that the name Dawnshards was incorrectly likening them to the Shards because of a misunderstanding of their nature. 20 minutes ago, Argenti said: And why would they not be related to Ado? Yeah, I meant more that they aren't derived from Ado like the Shards are, they at least existed at the same time. So they definitely weren't going to reform Ado or something like that.

Maybe in shattering ado, they ripped apart their mind in 4 directions, and each to a bit of it, breaking their power into 16 parts simultaneously. We don't know.
