Who is the bastard??

Presumably Helaran. He’s the eldest, so he could be Lin’s child from a previous (unofficial) relationship.

It would explain why Helaran seems different from the other siblings in the way he’s treated by the family. Also, Helaran is the only sibling who doesn’t present with serious mental illness challenges, which Dreder implies all of Chana’s children suffer from.
