Hiya!

My name is Danny. I have been a fan of Sandersons work since I first learned about The Way of Kings. 

Now, I'm not yet a "mega" fan.

I haven't followed all of the live streams, youtubes, interviews, books readings, etc...

However, I have listened to, I am an audible enthusiast, all of the currently released Stormlight Archive series, just about 6 times I think 5 currently but working on my 6th relisten.

I'll be honest, I haven't listened to much of his other works minus the Mistborn series. Which, I thoroughly enjoyed. I am finally starting to jump in to the extra novellas (books if that's the wrong term) and am greatly enjoying learning all of the nuance involved in the world that Sanderson has created.

I've held off from joining this forum for just that reason, I feel I am far behind in terms of knowing all of the ins and outs, or anything else really relating to that of the Cosmere as a whole. However, I have recently done some sneaking around on these forums and ya'll seem to be great bunch of people that could help me expand and expound on the mythos that is the Cosmere.

Also, just for fun. Again, after listening to the Stormlight Archive series countless times, I have one scene that is my very favorite. 

The Way of Kings Chapter 27: Chasm Duty, when Kal picked up the rain slicked spear and began to remember. Such a strong scene. I loved it.

Lastly, I feel like I have become a better man, husband, and father after having followed the growth of Dalanar. One of my favorite, no...my absolute favorite quote from Dalanar is:

"Sometimes a hypocrite is nothing more than a man in the process of changing."

I feel like a lot of people, men specifically, in the world could learn from this. We can change, we can be better. But we might get some flack for doing so at the time. In the end, if we succeed, we are no longer hypocrites, but instead we are better men. 

Sorry for the long intro. The Stormlight Archives series has a special place my life. I've even gotten the Bridge Four symbol tattooed on my left forearm to remind me at times that I can always do better. I can always be stronger, more courageous, more loyal...better.

Who's your least favorite character?

Maybe this is controversial and I don't mean to start any discord between anyone, but I have a huge issue with Lirin. I understand him, I do. As a father of younger children, 9 and 7, I don't know how I'd react in his situation but I can't get behind his complete and utter discountenance of his sons choices. Again, just my opinion. Oh, and also Laral. But, I haven't ever had to live in that type of society so as much as I dislike how she treated him and treated him later on I'm not sure how I would have delt with that situation. 

I have to admit, though, at first it was Shallan but she grew on me and learning her history really opened my eyes. Plus, I really...REALLY...like Adolin and if he likes her, I like her too. lol
