The alven city was perhaps the easiest one to conquer. The inhabitants were undisciplined, and we killed them all. Not a soul was left in that city.

You see, I am not just a conqueror, but also a scientist, masterminding the demise of the alves. There use to be many alves near us. Now, you would have to go many many leagues to find an alf.

A red, amorphous shape materializes from nowhere in a burst of Wrath pfp - like patterns. "I agree. Ferria does not have war like humans do; it is not good." it says, holding up a black round object with its body, which seems to be composed of red round objects.

True, the essences reside in most everyone, but it can be taken away to no effect. In fact, I believe completely taking it away would clear things up, sice the conflict is no longer inside of them.

The blob moves over to the crossbow bolt; a strange cross between walking, slithering, and rolling. Is the bolt magnetic or affected by magnets?

Nasriel frowned. "I believe we are talking of two different things. The essences I speak of are this," He held out a hand and a golden tendril spiked out, connecting to the ground and ripping it to shreds. "And this." With his other hand a blue field of light settled over the ground, and the dust rose into the air, zipping faster than it seemed possible. "Normally someone can't access either, but only because the essences fight against each other. I know of only one other who could access both, and he is dead. And yes. I know the man over there. We have a... tentative... alliance."
