Nuatoma
At this point I still haven’t preordered Wind and Truth. I feel like anytime it’s announced somewhere it’s sold out in an instance. Id rather not order from Amazon, but is there anywhere else that I can order from and get it on the release date? I’m already resigned I’m not fan enough to get a signed/number copy anymore.
Quantus he/him
For reading on release day reliably, it's really hard to beat e-books, whichever method is your preference (Not Kindle, I assume).
Etedbert he/him
I’m biased since I’m a bookseller, but I always suggest ordering through a local indie bookstore near you! Many will have signed copies ordered that will be first come first serve for special orders. It might be worth emailing a few indies near you (if you’re lucky enough to live in a city with multiple indie bookstores) to see if they’ll have signed copies. On the industry side, book’s almost always publish on Tuesdays. With Wind and Truth releasing on a Friday, Macmillan is basically promising retailers that they’ll get them the books on time. It’s a very safe assumption that any brick and mortar retailer will have the books on release day (B&N, Indies, BAM, etc). Heck my bookstore is even opening early and hosting a release party!
