A few hours after meeting up with Adris, Mark's Spren that he had sent off to spy comes dashing down the street.

Mark was in Adris' room, drinking some water, while Adris was off by his rarely-used desk, drinking some kind of dark liquor. The smell of it was thick in the room, and it wasn't the first glass the Steele had drunk already.

Mark's Spren zipped under the door.

MARK!

"Ah!" Mark jumps in surprise. "What's going on?" he asks.

I went back to the construction site, like you said, and there was a group of like ten armed gunmen getting paid for something. I think they, or one of them, is the Marksman that was getting paid so much. Mark's Spren spoke in a rushed, quick voice. They got paid, and started walking this way. I don't know how, but I'm sure that one of them spotted me, or sensed my Investiture. Anyway you need to get out of this place!

"Adris! Those troublemakers are comin' back, and with guns this time." Mark snapped at his boss. "Get everyone out. Now."

"Wh-" Adris starts, spilling a bit of his drink. "Storms." 

"They may have someone who can see Investiture. Life Sense or something. Watch out for Awakening." Mark reported.

Adris stumbled over his chair, catching himself before he fell all the way to the ground. "Get yourself together," He murmurs to himself. he throws his door opens. 

Mark hears some kind of incoherent shout of alarm from his superior, and he goes outside the room. "Everyone! They're coming back with soldiers, and we're getting out of here!"

Most people had been expecting a call like this, had been anticipating the excalation of the protest against them, and had knew that they weren't going to end this without smoke in the air and blood on the ground.

There was a few minutes of chaos before the Steeles got themselves organized. Mark ran back into Adris' room, grabbing his pack. Inside was a few brass vials as well as some stormlight. Inside was also a pair of knives.

A pair of knives that hadn't been used in a long, long time.

"Everyone, I'm going to the get the other Past Tributes. We need to make sure that no one goes after them if they can't find us." 

And, for the fourth time in just a few days, he knocked on the door with urgent news, hoping that his friends were home.
