"Heeey don't go back to your tree, clearly it's safe down here, I'd hate to have to yell and ruin my voice."

They didn't appear to be 'at the ready', now that Jerehlu was handling things and Nera and Eublech were captured. That said, most still had their weapons drawn.

Dint crept around the camp, staying to the shadows and seeking out lone bandits.

. . . it doesn't matter? He's so weak that you killed him. Period. That's how the power-scaling lined up. He made an attempt to cut you, but you blocked it and I'm fine with that, because it was a half-hearted attempt.

"Alvar spins, twisting his blade to try to block the strike."

So the bandit is dead and Alvar's not injured.

"I don't think you're in the possession to be making demands honey," Jerehlu said, "That's my job for this discussion."

He led her back over to the fire that was almost completely out now, and sat on one of the logs surrounding it.

The pink of dawn was just starting to tinge the sky, the sun would rise soon.

"First, of course, me and mine will be taken all of your caravan's valuables." He explained.

There weren't as many on their own now that Jerehlu had captured several of the party, and was sitting by the fire. All the bandits, including the ones holding Nera and Eublech were standing in a general circle, watching the discussion.

The furthest out one was a short, stocky bandit after 5 yards from the man group. He was leaning against a tree.

She crossed her arms. There was no way she could take out Jerehlu. That'd probably just end with the whole party being killed by the other bandits.

But if they surrendered, there was no way any of them would get this job.

"What else," she growled.

"Well . . . my band of bandit's here have a special way of doing things. See, we don't particularly like people knowing much about us--It'd make our job harder. But now you know about us . . . you see where this is going."

“I’m guessing we either join or you kill us.”

"I would never be so barbaric as to choose the latter . . ." Jerehlu insisted. "And we haven't had a new batch in a little while . . . so?"

Alvar notes all the talking and looks down at the man he killed, slightly ruefully. His blood pulls out of his body and reinforces the blade as Alvar walks over to the bandit leader. He leans casually against a tree. “Interesting… quite a strange business model you’ve got there. I could try to kill you, but I’d be out of a job. How much would a recruit get?”

Dint crept to the body he had downed, and retreated into the woods. He took the bandit’s outfit, placing the mask on his face and disguising himself. Going further into the woods, he turned back, overlooking the trees. He took out a bolt, crouched behind cover, and shot at one of the bandits after taking aim.

Correction, most of them have masks including Jerehlu and Mami, but not all--it doesn't seem like a requirement.

Jerehlu grinned, "How much do you want?"

@J. Magi

It hit the man in the shoulder and he stumbled forward. A few of the bandits standing next to him shouted, catching him and helping him stand.

Mami saw, and turned to Jerehlu. "We haven't gotten them all, someone's still out there with a bow!"

Jerehlu turned towards the trees, concern written on his face. "Go after him then, but if he runs off let him go."

Mami nodded, and taking 3 bandits with her, went into the forest to look for Dint.

Lusha looked at the group of bandits, searching for anyone with the group leaders’ builds.

Basically she’s wondering if these are hired actors and the two leaders are hiding in the ranks to see how the hopefuls react to the situation

Dint dashed with the other body to the side, quickly placing his old clothing on it and driving a dagger through its eyes and around the face, so it couldn’t be recognized. He placed his crossbow and bolts next to it, then cut himself in various places. “I got him!”

ooooooooooooooooooooooh

similar builds to Lady Genuhk and Master Igenes? That makes a lot more sense

Almost certainly Master Igenes was not there. None of the bandits appeared to be as old and hunched as he had been, and they all looked comfortable on their feet when he had needed a cane.

It was impossible to tell if Lady Genuhk was there. Several of the bandits had a standard, stocky and well-muscled build that she had had.

pffft that's kind of a funny image actually

Mami jogged over and squinted at Dint. She seemed to recognize his mask, and the bloody face of the dead bandit was enough to trick her.

"What were you doing out here on your own Glamis?"

[Dang] it. Plan B then.

Hehe my trap.

Dint shows the body, taking the crossbow and bolts while explaining. “I had to go to the privy, and ‘e happened to run my way. This crossbow seems quite useful…” he loaded it and shot at the tree, intentionally missing. He grunted and loaded again, and then shot Mami.
