The boar begins to stumble away, but collapses again. It cannot get to its feet. Eventually, it just lays down its head and rests. It is clearly very injured and very tired.

She sits next to it, her small baseball bat in tow. She glares at Elan and Glass. “I like bacon and other pork products too. But I’m not letting you slaughter this animal.”

The boar flinches under the hand, but then relaxes. It’s breathing slows down, and it’s eyes close.
