Arteth Chris he/him Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 In chapter 16 of book 1 Quentin says, “Bubble gum for the primate. Long live the Jacuzzi. Moon on the rocks, please.” Now given what we find out later that Spoiler Quentin is in fact not talking gibberish, but predicting the future , what might it mean? My nine year old was convinced it would be taken up in the last book, but it wasn’t.
AonEne he/him Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 I would guess that just not all of his predictions are actually relevant to the story we see, and some were just Brandon having fun. I don't think the Mistborn reference was a prediction that came true either.
BigBadBagsworth He/him/his Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 I think that when there’s something to predict, he can predict it, but at that moment, he’s not talking gibberish because there’s something to predict, as he’s engaged his talent in a way that automatically translates whatever he says into gibberish, whether he has something to predict or not.
