In The Sunlit Man audiobook I stumbled over two illustration descriptions that I can't find the corresponding illustrations to.

At the end of chapter 17 there are three descriptions back to back:

1. "A red Sunheart. It resembles a glowing red and orange gemstone with roughly carved, uneven facets."

2. The description of the illustration "Ambush"

3. "A black Sunheart, it's power consumed."

While the Ambush illustration is in the eBook and on Sanderson's site, I can't find either of the Sunheart illustrations anywhere.

Yes, the Ambush description I heard as well. I read the book first and then listened to the audiobook. That's why I was so confused about the sunheart illustration descriptions because I couldn't remember matching illustrations (nor could I find them when looking for them after I heard the descriptions).

And you're right regarding the mistake on the Coppermind, good catch 🙂 I went and quickly remedied that.

Hi, I am listening to the Sunlit Man and am also unable to find the illustrations of the sunhearts.

Does anyone know where the illustrations might be found?

Coppermind - I believe there are all illustrations from the book, and you can see Sunhearts in sevral of them.

Yeah, I've seen all these illustrations. You can see sunhearts in a few of them, but there are a couple illustration descriptions in the audiobook focused only on the sunhearts that don't seem to have an illustration associated with them.

1. "A red Sunheart. It resembles a glowing red and orange gemstone with roughly carved, uneven facets"

2. "A black Sunheart, it's power consumed"

Edit: the coppermind page for sunhearts has both images. It might be good for those images to be on the same page with the rest of the Sunlit Man illustrations, but that's not a change I can make.
