Voidus Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Well, right now just about anyone could do a post to introduce their characters but for actual story progression it would either be the twins or Vondra dealing with his new prisoners. I know, two of my characters where there. Nighthound being smart in favour of being mean? Blubbering berry, that is ridiculous! But hey, you said PP can´t feel emotions such as hate anymore so it shoud... *reads RP-post*... send him in an almost murderous rage threatening lots of violence, sure I can deal with that. I'll have a post for the twins up soon. Yeah, if it involves protecting someone else things get kind of iffy, but he doesn't hate NH, he's just saying what he needs to to protect his wife.

He gives me a chance to make up for Nighthounds treatment of the twins. Understandable but as long as it entails threatening Nighthound I don´t mind at all. Disliking him isn´t hate, it´s common sense. You want to react to Parity first or shall I first? 2

Even people who are psychologically incapable of hate can't help disliking him You go first, PP's said what he needs to say for now.
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Is there something wrong with you Dalles post or will you edit the rest in, Voidus?
Voidus Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Sorry about that, accidentally hit post while I was still typing, full post is up now, I didn't want to progress too far because I'm not sure what the police force in the Dalles is likely to do in this situation, so I thought I'd let Kobold handle it for now.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Don´t worry he´s creepy. If you are even in doubt whether he´s creepy enough, remember these words. "Nighthound would like him." Alright, a short bio for my vanilla Dalles Doctor. Name: Baxter Game Age: late 40-early 50~ish Appearance: A man of medium size with short brown hair and slightly dark skin. Most of the time he wears a a white doctor coat over a rather informal jeans and shirt combo. History: Before Calamity Baxter Game worked as a doctor, this did not change after the Epics appeared. However, it did make it harder to run a proper clinic. Because of this he traveled the fractured states with his wife and daughter, helping people as best as they could and making a habit out of serving his patients hot choco. About 1 and a half years ago they found a place that both needed help and could offer stability, the Dalles, and settled there. There they ran a proper clinic again, his daughter working as his assistant and his wife dealing with their paperwork. Around a year later their lives were disrupted again, after Baxter´s daughter turned into an Epic and run away from home almost immediately. His wife folloewd her in an attempt to bring her back and hasn´t returned since. Currently he´s working alone in his clinic, well almost alone, he keeps a european shorthair cat. Seeing a lot of suffering brought about by the hands of Epics, he supports Vondra fully but his child´s transformation caused him to start and consider Epics in a new light. (I admit that I have not yet very well planned out his daughters epicness, so I´m open for suggestions. ) Good. I think. Oh, well. He and Nighthound can be nightmare buddies over in Calamityville, and the number of terror-upvotes his POV scene has gotten make me feel better about the direction I've planned for his character. I like the doctor! Also, I had a realization while listening to this gorgeous piece by the Piano Guys. Remington Springfield is kind of like this RP's Batman, and Nathan is like pre-serum Steve Rogers. (HA! I'm finally starting to figure out his character! ) Still not sure where the Unicyclist falls on the spectrum of comic book heroes, though. 3
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 It´s kind of sad that I noticed that we only have little description of Parity´s apperance because Nighthound couldn´t make a more specific lewd comment about her. However, it made me notice something else when I reread some of the bios in search for more description. From what is in her bio, unless I missed something about how long she has been an Epic or her age, Panacea would be a pretty good fit for Baxter´s daughter. What do you think Twi? 2

I'll PM you more later, but that fits in perfectly with the background I'd imagined for her.
Kobold King he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Yes! I'll PM you more later, but that fits in perfectly with the background I'd imagined for her. And this has been another installment of "Epic Plot Twists with the 17th Shard." That really does seem to fit perfectly. It's always great when bios come together like puzzle pieces.

Fatebreaker he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Still not sure where the Unicyclist falls on the spectrum of comic book heroes, though. The Dogwelder obviously. http://www.comicvine.com/dogwelder/4005-12152/ 2

Edgedancer he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Still waiting to see who Backtrack's son is. Naturally his son is... You know I was going to make a joke but I can´t help and wonder are the children of Epics in any way special? From what we know Epicfication comes with some mutations, which might be hereditable or could make having children impossible for mixed couples, Epics without similar powers or in general, maybe it has no effects at all. Would a child have a combination of their parents powers, one of them, something different, none? Is it because of the genes or because Calamity likes the joke? So many questions! 3

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Try pondering Nathan raising a child with Funtimes powers. That child's first word would probably be "vodka," as the sentence s/he heard most often would probably be "Hold on, now, Daddy needs some vodka." 4
Kobold King he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Try pondering Nathan raising a child with Funtimes powers. Imagine having to live through this every time the kid had a runny nose. 4
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Imagine having to live through this every time the kid had a runny nose. Before long, Nathan would snap and start doing this (start at 0:20). 3

Just thought abot the children of Lightwards and Lucentia (who all would have names starting with L ) The diamond zomby apocalypse. Lightwards would not babysit. He would be the crazy uncle they had to say hi to at family reunions and who may or may not make Mommy and Daddy arrive late, leave early, and carry loaded pistols. 4
Kobold King he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Lightwards would not babysit. He would be the crazy uncle they had to say hi to at family reunions and who may or may not make Mommy and Daddy arrive late, leave early, and carry loaded pistols. Uncle Lightwards only showed up at all because he liked the eggplant macaroni casserole they served. And he did his best to ignore Auntie Revolution, who'd regale the children with stories of the rainbow and pot of gold under Lightwards' magic bowler hat. 4

The relationship was always strained by such parties because auntie Lucentia was never allowed to bring her side of the family. On the upside Small Lana was well loved for her ability to create food with zero calories but all the taste. 4

Ignoring two four-year-olds determined to steal his bowler hat and find the rainbow was harder. Impossible, when Uncle Remington decided to help by using his hat as target practice. 4

Impossible, when Uncle Remington decided to help by using his hat as target practice. Some family reunions end with drunken brawls over the potato salad. Every Oregon get-together ended with Lightwards knee-deep in a tar pit after offering to give the kids a crash course in "obedience training." On the other end of the spectrum, Uncle Remington's shooting lessons were well received by his four-year old pupils. 4
