You feel the thrum of power under your fingers, a swelling at the back of your throat. It tastes like mint and wet blood; power fills your lungs like a breath of fresh air. It rips through your mouth, along with your screech. You can see a pulse of glowing crimson air launch towards Mike, who does not look particularly interested in the music. The crimson light slams into Mike, and he is launched back towards the wall. Glasses shatter, and you hear a sickening *crack* like the snapping of bones and the splintering of wood. Mike slumps down, and you see blood trickling down his head. You are not sure if he's breathing.

Autumn abandons her song and runs over to Mike, lute in hand. “Mike?” she asks, concerned. “Mike, are you okay?” Did I do this? Am I a bad person? I didn’t try to.
