You see now, the aforementioned star is nothing less than the eye of a titanic beast who sits just beyond the fire. It looks.... as if it's waiting.

As he steps outside, water returns to his body, and you realize he, is in fact a she. She curls one finger and the bars twist around her arm, another and the strange stick floats over to you.
