”What? No one’s mad at you but the ‘popular’ clique,” Sariel said.

“Yep.” He said, pushing the cart down the tunnel into a small room with a fire pit in the center.

“Eh. Maybe.”

"Maybe I could find a way to get rid of it. To go back to normal?" He seemed to be getting agitated.

"Maybe."

She dropped her head into her hands again.

She dropped her head into her hands again.

TAAron moved to her and pulled her into his arms. He was painfully aware that this body wasn't even a real human one anymore, but it would have to do.

She twisted to hug him back and sniffled.

What's going on?

TAAron looked at her, wondering why she was holding on so tightly, as though to keep him from leaving. I have all the time in the world now, don't I? And even if I didn't, this would be time well spent. He stroked her hair.

The music got somewhat louder.

"Thanks," she whispered.

"Always."

She took a deep breath. "I guess we should go tell whoever's making that music to stop."
