"Sure." Rue looked around at the trees. They seemed...hostile? No, no, that was ridiculous. Trees couldn't be hostile.

Should I be trying to think of plot, maybe?

They wandered for a while. TAAron didn't say much, but he found that he was somewhat enjoying himself. It was nice to just walk with someone. Simple, in contrast to the chaotic mess they had left behind.

...a stave, like, a tall vertical wooden post?

Exactly, well shorter, like a weapon

"Oh yeah and maybe some paper? any Breaths you might have would be much appreciated. What's the Investiture Situation like?"

*shrugs*

Rue kept watching the trees, and TAAron, and everything.

Tal handed him a notebook. "I don't have breaths, and I don't feed on investiture. Even if I did, I wouldn't give them to you. It's common courtesy not to go around asking people for their breaths," he added sternly, then winked. "Investiture...there's a perpendicularity in the second basement, and a lot of people carry some around. You can probably find a stave in one of the basements, or I can summon you one."

You don't think you can make plot right now?

TAAron watched her for a long while, before looking back out around the forest.

Sorry. I don't know why, but I just...can't think of anything.

Back in his room, Ryan was furiously practicing his flute. He was just improvising at the moment, while thinking about his conversation with the other newcomer. Suddenly, light began to... it looked like it flowed from a lamp on the wall, and into Ryan. Then, a miniature Ryan, glowing slightly, appeared on his desk, along with a miniature version of that newcomer. Ryan was bending over, and the newcomer was kissing his...

Ryan gasped, his attention finally turned to the scene playing out on his desk. That was what he was thinking about, but he never would have expected to actually see it.

"Sistine, did you do that?

After seeing that, I want to cover my eyes with a hat."

Actually, you did that. I gave you that power, though our Nahel Bond, but, you did that.

"Does that mean, I'm actually a radiant?"

He paused. He didn't sing that!

"It's gone, that awful curse!

I thought I'd take it to the hearse!

Alas, it's back,

but I'm on the right track!"

Tal blinks at the newcomers. "Woah, two at once." He takes a deep breath. "Hi, welcome to the Insanity Clinic for the Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted and other Maladies, how can I help you?"

"I am in no need of assistance peasant. Where is your Derethi chapel? I must speak with the Head Arteth."

"Thank you, and Sorry" Ramdin Cringes at his own imprudence. Ramdin takes the Notebook and goes to the mess hall. Finding food unsatisfying he returns to his room and examines the Gargoyle before searching the basement for a stave Masonry, Equipment, Stormlight, Nicrosil Bracers, and bones. He then Implants the Bones into the Stone of the Gargoyle and by Tapping Nicrosil he uses the Stormlight to Awaken the Gargoyle and Quench his Returned appetite.

"I did it! I actually did it! I didn't think that would work!"

Tal raised an eyebrow. "Peasant? Watch your tongue. We have a chapel in the 14th courtyard, but there haven't been any arteths here in a long time." And thank goodness for that... "You're welcome," he added, annoyed.

He also fell through, into what seemed to be a...cave? Vines completely covered the walls.

Meanwhile, In the Chapel

Elan, the Head Arteth that everyone seems to have forgotten, stays in his chapel, tending it and making sure it stays in tip-top shape.

The gyorn didn't even glance at Tal as he turned and made his way toward the chapel.

DG Ash shook her head. "We can't worry about that now. We need to move." She took off.

"Wai- ah-" Aventine started to follow, but fell. "How am I supposed to run after you when MY LEG IS FREAKING BROKEN?!"

DG Aventine helped her up and the two began to follow.

"But I'm so close to finding him!" DG Exol said.

"Do it on the move!" Aventine yelled back.
