Hi everybody, I was just re-reading the original Mistborn trilogy since it's been a while. I really love Michael Kramer as a narrator I think he does a really good job getting the character voices and everything. I primarily listen to audiobooks as opposed to reading paper or digital copies, so I'm glad Sanderson usually has such fantastic narrators.

I noticed a slight continuity flaw in the recording of the Well of Ascension, and I'm wondering if anybody knows where I can go to report it? I know that audiobooks don't really have new "editions" in the typical sense (it's possible the print version has already been fixed?), and I have no idea how easy it is to rectify small errors like this. I notice them on occasion, though I can't remember any others in Sanderson books.

At the timestamp 10:18:19 (near the beginning of chapter 24) the books says "...she had asked Clubs to burn bronze, and he had claimed he could hear nothing from the north. Either he was the kandra, lying to her about his ability to burn bronze, or Vin could hear a rhythm that nobody else could..."

Of course, the issue here being that Clubs can only burn copper, not bronze. I believe there is a whole team of people in charge of managing minute details such as this, but I suppose the cosmere is so intricate they can't all have been caught.

Is there someone I should contact about this? Is it even possible/worth the effort to change audiobooks for little things?

Normally, there is a "typo" thead for things like this (but most of the older books were on the old forums). Either way, this is a known error. Here's Brandon's post about it (from back in 2008):

Error in the Hardcover edition

I forgot to mention it in the appropriate chapter (I think it was way back in twenty-six) so I'll mention it here. Maybe I'll move this eventually.

Anyway, the hardcover edition of the book had of the more embarrassing typos in the series. (I think we got it fixed for the softcover.) It relates to Clubs and his Allomantic abilities, which is why this scene made me think of it. Way back in chapter twenty-four, I mistakenly (during one of the very last drafts of the book) mention Clubs as being a Seeker, not a Smoker, and burning the wrong metal.

I knew I'd do this some place in the series. The thing is, Clubs was originally going to be the team's Seeker, with Marsh being the Smoker. I swapped this before I started writing, but there is still some latent belief on my part that Clubs is a Seeker. And, because of that, when writing quickly and smoothing over rifts made by re-arranging chapters, I wrote the wrong metal down. (And it isn't just a single word typo; I think I even talked about him being a Seeker, and being able to sense what metals people are burning. Something like that.)

All I can say is. . .whoops!

It was fixed for all future editions. I do not know if a corrected version of the Audiobook exists (mostly because I avoid Audiobooks).
