Lately there's a question that bothers me,and I'd be happy to hear a answer

When we learn about the creation of men by preservation and ruin,it is said that preservation gave the world more from himself then ruin did.me question is:if ruin and preservation created all humans, how come there are humans on other worlds?and if they did create them too,how did the consciousness behind them,Ati and Leras, existed before there were humans?

They only created Scadrian humans, everyone else was either created by another Shard (or Shards) or originated from before the Shattering.  Humanity first arose on the planet Yolen, which is where Adonalsium Shattered.  Ruin and Preservation were, presumably, Yolish and created life based on what they knew.

Before Ruin and Preservation created Scadrial there was Yolen. Yolen is basically the "original" Shardworld. All of the other worlds (Scadrial, Sel, etc) and their life forms are in imitation of it. This is because Ruin and Preservation were presumably Yolish.

Yolish humans are the template for all the other human races in the Cosmere. Presumably most other life forms (horses, grass, trees, etc.) also are based off of ones found on Yolen, as they are found throughout the Shardworlds.
