A Question about Backups

This is just my paranoia acting up, but are there people keeping backups of Arcanum in case anything happens to the servers, like they get damaged or there is a solar flare or anything? I just worry as it contains a ton of information that could be easily lost, so I feel it would be smart to have backups.

We do have backups, yes, and the internet archive at web.archive.org could also be used for recovery of the text itself. (We even use that for links to stuff that Brandon deletes from his website.) If there's some catastrophic event that wipes out our backups and the internet archive... well, you'll have bigger things to worry about than WoBs.

Yeah, true. But good thing there are backups. I assumed there would be, but my pessimism and paranoia definitely made me want to make sure for sure. Thanks. 

Kinda tempted to try and go through and transcript it all, but that would be an absolutely stupid amount of effort. It is difficult even transcription a bit of my personal worldbuilding notes, and that is far less than the total word count of all of Archanum, lol. At least I would presume.

Don't worry about backup, Pagerunner has it all memorized

Seriously though, there is backup for both: the database with all text content and media sources. The data is stored with different company than the one that hosts Arcanum server. I think we're safe

Yeah, thanks again. Was just making sure to calm myself down, because again, I am a very anxious and paranoid person. But I am not going to vent about that an a public forum, just my own personal issues.
