Solomon Grundy Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Solomon Grundy is the avatar, Ian is the real name. Became a fan of Brandon's writing through the Wheel of Time series, which I felt he finished splendidly and, though I'll probably be banished to one of the Nine Hells for this, I felt he was better with the material than the original author... In any event, I'm mostly here to get information on Stormlight glyphs and writing for a tattoo design I'm working on for myself, but if I don't alienate myself too quickly, perhaps I'll stick around and irritate you all for a time... 6
Swimmingly he/him Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Well, if you want Stormlight glyph images to study, you can talk to the good Awesomeness Summoned - search for his thread "Glyphs for Profiles". Someone figured out an English to Alethi cipher key, though for the life of me I can't remember where. And, I assure you, the majority of us feel similarly to you about the WoT series.

Ha, good to know that at least a few others found Brandon a breath of fresh air in that series....
Quiver he/him Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 So, listen.... this is a realm portent question, and I need a serious answer. Were you born on a Monday? 3
Queen Elsa Steelheart she/her Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 So, listen.... this is a realm portent question, and I need a serious answer. Were you born on a Monday? Haaahahhahahahahha!!!Welcome to 17th Shard! 1
Left he/him Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Love the name and avi mate! Great to see another new face. And around here don't worry too much about getting shot for thinking Brandon did better. We're pretty good with all that jazz. Course you would get Spiked not shot.
Solomon Grundy Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 LOL...hilariously enough, I just looked it up and I was, in fact, born on a Monday... 5
Delightful Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Welcome! Yeah, watch out for the spikes around here. (If you don't understand that, read Mistborn. And become even further swallowed into the Sanderson Fandom. MUAHAHAHHAA MUAHAHAHA MUAHA - okay, I'll stop now. ) What's the Monday a reference to? 1
Left he/him Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Solomon Grundy is an undead character from the Batman universe. He has a little nursery rhyme and it starts off, "Solomon Grundy born on a monday". 1
Queen Elsa Steelheart she/her Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Solomon Grundy is an undead character from the Batman universe. He has a little nursery rhyme and it starts off, "Solomon Grundy born on a monday".The rhyme is: Solomon Grundy, Born on a Monday, Christened on Tuesday, Married on Wednesday, Took ill on Thursday, Worse on Friday, Died on Saturday, Buried on Sunday. This is the end Of Solomon Grundy. 2
Quiver he/him Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 What the above two said... though I feel I need to point out that the rhyme predates the character. It's actually a traditional nursery rhyme, dating back to the 1800's, at least according to wikipedia. And we all know how reliable that is, right? 2
Delightful Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Y'know, that sounds familiar now. Anyway, thanks 1
