Argent he/him Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 For the past day or two I've been participating in an interesting discussion on /r/fantasy about the nature of magic in the fantasy genre, and the... progression, I would call it, from a Tolkien model to a Sanderson model (i.e. from soft magic to hard magic). I think it's interesting, so if anyone wants to offer thoughts either here or there...
Matrim Bloody Cauthon he/him Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I think its interesting that its gone from just a select few mages and wizards and witches having it to many people having it. And like with the cosmere everything is driven by magic. And yet we still dont know what the magic started as. Like with adonalsium.
