So as we know Thaidakar and and Kelsier are the same person. And if you have read the Stormlight Archive we know that Thaidakar is considered a god and the leader of the Ghostbloods. But we also know that Kelsier is somehow trapped in Scadrial, but if he is a "God" or a Shard then wouldnt he be able to go to the other worlds and get the investiture himself? I am confused about this so please comment below and help me out.

You should note the fact that he is considered a god, not that he is explicitly said to be one. The Shards themselves are millions of times more powerful than Kelsier is. Are you aware of how Cognitive Shadows work? That should clue you in on what's going on. If not, make sure you're caught up on all the Mistborn series, including Secret History. I don't know how far you've read, so I'm hesitant to give you direct answers.

Major spoilers follow.

Spoiler

Kelsier is a Cognitive Shadow, not an actual god. Due to Connection shenanigans, he is trapped on Scadrial. However, he's gotten the Rosharan Ghostbloods to worship him as a god to disguise this fact. One of the reasons the Ghostbloods are doing all of those experiments with Investiture is so that Kel can find his way off Scadrial.

Kelsier is basically

in the same conundrum as the Heralds in being stuck in the system they are in.  Kalak spends RoW extolling how much he wants out of the Rosharian system and how that's his main focus in life (or existence, or whatever it would be called for him).

I am not particularly sure what exactly

Due to Connection shenanigans,

those entail specifically, but they seem to be pretty powerful bindings that aren't easy to bypass.  With all the identity manipulation we see in Era2, if all it took was a little of that with connection, Kelsier would have thrown the deuces already... but we haven't seen that.

Kelsier is not a shard.

Spoiler

He only held some of a shard for a very short period of time (enabling him, with a side of extreme willpower and stubborness) to become a cognitive shadow.

In OG Mistborn,

Spoiler

Kelsier made himself a god by his actions and the propaganda/story he created.  He did not have god powers, instead he played the entire planet into seeing him as the Survivor.  And then he really did (kind of) survive.

Much of Scandrial views Kelsier as a god, but that belief has nothing to do with powers that he has/doesn't have.

Kell can't use the Connection manipulation from era two because, due to being a Cognitive Shadow, he can't use Allomancy, Feruchemy, or Hemalurgy. It's for a similar reason as why Stormlight is so hard to transport cosmere-wide.

Moved this into Cosmere Discussion, since there are Stormlight spoilers. :)

Kelsier has a history of setting himself up as a religious figure despite not being anything close to a god. He sets up a fake resurrection with a Kandra in Final Empire which begins a religion, Survivorism. He masquerades as the Lord Ruler in the south after he gets a new body. It seems like his solution to all problems always involves him being worshipped.

He can't leave the system he's in because of cognitive shadow issues with Connection. He is looking for a way to change that on Roshar. He doesn't want to admit he has limitations so he pretends to be a god too important to be bothered with coming to Roshar in person. In reality he just can't.
