High prince of geeks he/him Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 SPOILERRS BELOW We know that the first oath allows you to use stormlight, the next seems to make more efficient use of it. The third does much the same as well as allow your spren to turn into a shardblade. So my question is when at the end of Words of Raidence when Shallen admits what she did to her mother what happens now. Can Pattern turn into a set of shardplate or what?
Khyrindor he/him Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 It's different for Lightweavers. They don't need to swear oaths, as you probably know. But it is known that Patter was her Shardblade from the start. Also, some orders might now get plate. I don't know if that's been said, however. (Also, it's spelled "Shallan".) 1
High prince of geeks he/him Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Light weavers may not swear oaths but they do have to tell truths
Terisen he/him Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 We don't really know for sure what the "reward" for the next step in the progression is yet. Heck, we don't even know if what the plate is made out of. And I'm curious if it's really 5 truths stated in place of 5 oaths. It seems likely, but I don't know if that's a guarantee. 1
Aleksiel Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 It's ShallAn and Kaladin. I've noticed you misspell their names regularly. Even if you've only listened to the audiobook, you've been around long enough and should learn how to spell the names of the main characters. 1

Wyndrunner he/him Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I think I remember by WoB that the Orders get Shardblades at different Progressions so each Oath or Truth or whatever could have different effects based on the KR Order
