The energy began spinning, then shot down her arm and into her chest.

Lyna let out a cry of anger.

"Dharc, we shouldn't fight the angry god. This isn't our battle!"

Wynn brandished Tors.

We'll only get one shot at this.

Malum sent out more bolts of energy, swarming Lyna and Dharc.

I'm ready when you are. Just go at him, I'll guide your hand.

"Take cover!" Wynn yelled to the others.

She ran at Malum, hoping Tors knew what to do.

As they approached, Malum took out one of the metal shards he had used before, slicing the air. Nothing apparently happened, but when Tors' plunged down into Malum's chest, she went straight through.

The bolts of energy kept plaguing the group, weaving around corners in close pursuit.

Tors, why didn't it work?

Dharc's Shadow formed a shield that protected the group, deflecting the bolts away from them.

I think he must have manipulated space to put himself in a different location, but somehow make himself still visible. He used one of those... shards before we attacked.

The bolts kept returning and bouncing off of the shield, slowly weakening it.

Then how are we supposed to get to him?

Wynn made another lunge for Malum. I don't understand. Why can't I hit him?

Like I said, probably some sort of trickery with spacial manipulation. Hopefully, he can't hit us either. But those bolts...

The onslaught was becoming more furious, the shield weakening further.

If he's not actually here, then we might need to retreat.

Dharc and Lyna began edging away, taking the shield with them.

Malum turned to Wynn. "You won't be able to hide for long." He pointed to TAAron's body. "He won't be the last."

If you want to update your last post or something to match the current situation, here's what last happened in the underworld following Wynn getting thrown out.

"No, you won't." Death sighed, turning to the remaining two. "Do you still want to see your friend one last time?"

"Very well." Death clapped his hands, and a form began materializing in front of them.

And there TAAron stood, looking uninjured and healthy. "Haly?"

Shocked and amazed, she brought her hands to her mouth. “TAAron. You’re really dead.” Tears sprung to her eyes. “Hi.”

"Yeah I... guess I am. How are you here?" His eyes widened. "You didn't die too, did you?"

“No.” I wish. “We we’re trying to get you back, but it didn’t work. I’m so sorry.” Her voice carried an oft-used edge of grief.

“No,” she whispered. “It can’t be. That’s impossible.” She shook her head hard. “It can’t be.”

Oh, but her eyes professed a different conviction.

Unsure, and a little frightened for some unnamable reason, she took it. “It just makes everything so much harder. Why can’t things ever be easy?”

The sorrow, the pit in her stomach, began to fill and replace itself with anger. Slowly, only coals at first. But they grew.
