What crazy fan theories proved to be true?

I have recently got my brother-in-law into the Cosmere. I told him about times the far-sighted among you here and on reddit had called out theories that proved to be right.

 

Does anyone either want to claim their best theory that proved true, or have some google-fu / remember the original threads where these theories have been presented?

 

My BiL is going in hard. He already bought a cork board and string/thumbtacks with note cards to keep track of relationships and make his own predictions. He's only finished Mistborn era 1 + Secret history so far, so I'll filter down what ya'll share if it has additional spoilers.

Several years ago (before I really got involved in the shard) I posted a reddit theory proposing that we could map the Shards to the same splits as the Allomantic Table and use that to predict the unknown Shards at the time.   It was pretty popular on Reddit and Branderson stopped by the thread to RAFO it. Much more recently Dawnshard as all but confirmed the basic concept (if not my own actual placement guesses) and quite a few of my guesses at the unknown Shards came pretty close.
