Limits of Perfect Pitch?

Would Perfect Pitch allow an Awakener to recognize the Pure Tone of a Shard which they had never heard before, and/or gain intuitive knowledge of the method of construction and effects of the Tone?

I think yes, if they could actually hear the tone. If there was some Investure for it to resonate with, then the Awakener could hear the tone in a manner similar to how Navani first heard Honor's tone. I think that perfect pitch would grant recognition of a pure tone once heard. Maybe not as "The pure tone of [Shard]", but as something recognizable.

Nope, at least not without some sort of experimental device to turn it into audible sounds and some of the Investiture for it to resonate with.  Life Sense alone wont do it, methinks, and Breath Recognition would need an Invested object to study. 

Now, an awakener that was also a Singer/gemhearted being, a Seeker, or something else that offered a)realmic Investiture senses or b) some magical intuition like the 6th heightening might be able to sense them, though "recognizing" it should require some experience or familiarity.

By 'recognizing' i mean 'know that it is a particular pure tone', which i feel is similiar to the usual application of Perfect Pitch, as they would immediately know a note even if they hadn't heard it previously.

Yes, i had imagined the Awakener to be singer and standing in a storm (like Eshonai when she's about to take warform) so they can hear it.
