question about planets/shardworlds

are all the planets (like scadrial, roshar, uhh the elantris one, the warbreaker one) are they all orbiting the same sun?? or is it like, in the cosmere there are like 6 suns and separate solar systems or something and each has a random amnt of planets but the sahrdworls are scattered between them?

The cosmere as a whole is a star cluster. 50-100 stars ish.

There isn't a center in the cosmere... I keep calling it a dwarf galaxy but I think they decided it's a cluster, instead of a dwarf galaxy.

Yeah, still too big. So we had to call it a cluster. Because we only wanted like what, we came up with 50 or 100 stars? So it's a cluster. Or a really dwarf galaxy.

Anything happening outside that cluster is going to be left unexplored since it is beyond the scope of the cosmere, so whether there are other Adonalsium-level beings out there will probably remain unknown.
If you have a copy of Arcanum Unbounded, there are star charts for each of the individual star systems in there, even if they're not completely accurate.

There are actually way more than six separate solar systems, and each planet is in a different one. (Aside from planets like Ashyn, which are explicitly stated to be in the same solar system).

2 things:

1. There are definitely more than one solar system in the Cosmere. The books are each set in different ones, and there’s countless stars we don’t know about yet.

2. If every shard lived in the same system, the Cosmere would be a whole lot more chaotic and the spiritual realm would be messed up.
